Sage 50 Accounts 2012 is the latest edition of Sage’s highly praised accounting software. Formerly known as Sage Line 50 it has become the standard accounting software for small to medium-sized businesses and bestselling software for Coast Business Solutions. The 'my business' set up is now even easier to use than ever and allows easy basic installation. Sage 2012 has a host of new features to help reduce time-consuming mistakes when entering data including the lock date function which prevents postings before a certain date which is particularly beneficial to ensure transactions are entered into the correct month and  years. It has also been made more stable, particularly in a multi-user environment and easier to use with features like quick search, making it even easier to find the information you’re looking for.

Balance Sheet and Profit & loss reports can be produced at the touch of a button and the software allows submission of VAT returns & CIS returns (addional activation required) to HMRC on-line, complying with new legislation. Quotations, invoices & orders can be sent by e-mail and the new Sage 50 mobile features make the software more flexible than ever before, allowing you to retrieve data when you need it even if you’re away from a desktop.

The dashboard shows your current business position at any time, displaying key financial indicators. Cashflow management is a key feature of the software and you can easily keep track of money owed to you and from you and track when payments are due.

• Performance will be improved with higher specification computers and networks, and it only possible to install one copy on a single computer.
• Works with Microsoft Office 2003 and all later editions, and please ensure you have the latest Microsoft updates installed.
• The latest service packs should be installed for your operating system before installing or upgrading Sage products. 32-bit Operating Systems recommended.
• There are no browser requirements for Sage 50 Accounts however Sage recommends Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or above for internet access to Sage Support and important Sage updates for your products.
• Some features in Sage 50 Accounts, (for example Automatic Updates and Postcode finder), require an internet connection.
• Sage 50 Accounts single user licence allows installation on a single workstation. To use 50 Accounts over a network you will need a 2 user licence (additional charge applies), and if you would like to use 50 Accounts across multiple sites, a WAN must be in place.

Apple Mac compatibility

Sage software is not compatible with Apple Macs, unless you are running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 via Apple’s Boot Camp utility.
